I was delivered by Dr. De Shazo in 1966 when my parents lived in Jackson, AL. I wish I had known him as my family Dr. but we soon moved from that area. We followed Alabama football and loved knowing that he was the team doctor.

My whole life I heard stories about Dr. D from my grandmother Mary Ellen. She was so happy to have me go to Tuscaloosa and work with Little Willie. My time with him at Capstone added to the wonderful stories that were told to me as a child. He will always be with me through those memories.

Dr."D" was our family doctor while we lived in Jackson, Alabama in the 1960's. He and "Dee" were greatly loved and respected. He will be missed by all who knew him.
