Not sure what to say?

dear ann: I only recently heard about Bill's passing...quite honestly I was deeply taken aback. Please accept our deepest condoleances and wishes. On his last visit to CWG's in Woodlands, I remember saying to my wife, "how striking a figure he was." I am thinking of you and yours....I hope we might see eachother in Eleuthera again.
warmest regards

Bill was a model upper Classman when I was a First Year Student at St. Elmo Hall. Gentleman of the highest quality.

Sadden with the news!

Today I received the St Elmo Newsletter and was deeply saddened upon seeing the In Memoriam notice. So many good men passing on and bringing up so many good memories and particularly of my old friend Bill. My heartfelt condolences to Dick and Ann whom I know and to all of the deButts family whom I don't. Bill deButts was a very good man, and I am very fortunate to have known him.

I am so sorry for your loss. What a kind man who loved his family very much. Thinking of you all.

You and your family are in our thoughts and hearts. Together, we will realize a world without Alzheimer's.

My deep sympathy to the family. I last saw Bill in 1958 when we graduated together from EHS, yet I remember him more clearly than most-- so poised for his age, and handsome. a gentleman already in the making. Sincerely,

The Dickie family sends our condolences. Peace be with you all in this difficult time.

Mrs. Debutts, Please know you and your family are in my thoughts. I look forward to seeing Logan tomorrow and please give her my love. Paige Miller

Dear Ann, I so appreciate your call about Bill's death. I'm relieved that his suffering is over. He was the epitome of the Virginia gentleman, a true friend, and an awesome family man. The obituary picture tells the story. My sympathy and love to you and yours. Stapleton
