Bill was a kind and generous man and a dedicated teacher. I met him at Stanford and he watched out for me as a fellow SC resident and commuter. My sympathies to his family and friends, I am glad that I knew him

He was "Guglielmo" in my Italian Conversation Class at the Dante Alighieri Society in Santa Cruz. I enjoyed very much his talent with foreign languages. My deepest condolences to Bill's family.
