Not sure what to say?

Dad, Me ( Sandra), Mom and sister in the 1980s.

Dear DeVoti family. I think my dad served with Mr. William Devoti in WWII. I happened upon a newspaper clipping today about his unit. I looked on the internet to see if there were still survivers from the war. My dad was Guy E. Metcalf, Jr. The clipping was talking about a reunion of the 122nd Signal Radio Intelligence Company in 1984. Dad always talked about landing in North Africa and Casablanca, etc. I'm so sorry about your loss. It's comforting to think they may have known each other....

Our deepest sympathy to the entire DeVoti family.
Dave and Lorraine Tucker

Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. We will all hold onto the memories of the great and wonderful man that Uncle Bill was. I will never forget the kindness from both of your parents.

The leader of the band is tired and his eyes are growing old-But his blood runs through my instrument and his song is in my soul-My life has been a poor attempt to imitate the man-Im just a living legacy to the leader of the band.
I thank you for the music and your stories of the road-I thank you for the freedom when it came my time to go-I thank you for the kindness and the times when you got tough-And papa, I dont think I said "I LOVE YOU" near enough.
THANKS.. I LOVE YOU. WJD

To the Devoti family, our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult period. Your dad and your mom were special people.

To the family of William J. Devoti Sr.: I send my condolences and may god bless and comfort you in your time of sorrow. Draw close to god in prayer and he himself will sustain you.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of your Dad - I was very sorry to learn of his passing, and I extend my sympathy to all of you. It's especially hard to lose a loved one around the holidays. I regret that I will be unable to attend either Bill's wake or the funeral: on Sunday I am committed to a cousin's 70th birthday celebration in New York City, and on Tuesday I am to be in Washington, DC for the burial of another cousin, at Arlington National Cemetery. Please know that you...

To all of the Devoti children,

You should be so proud of the wonderful care you provided to your Dad. He was blessed to have such loving children as you were blessed to have such caring parents. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories you have of him . He is finally at peace with your Mom.

Love to all,

Pat and Jim Moreland
