William A. DeWenter

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church, St. Cloud on Saturday, January 24, 2009 for William A. "Bill" DeWenter who died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Friends and family may call on Friday, January 23rd from 4 to 8 PM at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud and also after 9:30 AM Saturday morning at the church. Parish prayers will be at 5 PM Friday and Eagles Aerie #622 will have their service at 6 PM. Rev Al Stangl will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery, Waite Park, MN. Bill was born to the late Norbert and Beatrice (McKenzie) DeWenter in Richmond, MN. Bill married Elaine S. Loesch on August 10, 1970 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Watkins, MN. He was employed at the St. Cloud Veterans Administration Medical Center for over 30 years until retiring. The past four years he was a proud Papa doing Papa daycare for his grandchildren. Bill was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and St. Cloud Eagles Aerie #622. Bill is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughters, Jenny DeWenter, St. Cloud; Michele (Troy) Kockler, Waite Park, MN; two grandchildren, Ashley and Carter Kockler; brother Duane (Jane) DeWenter, St. Cloud, MN; sister Beverly (Clayton) Arnold, Scottsdale, AZ.
