William J. "Bill" Diederich, 60, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away November 30, 2009, following a battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4101 E. 105th St., Kansas City, Mo., where the rosary will begin at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5, at the church. Inurnment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice or Cancer Action. Bill was born November 12, 1949, in Kansas City, Mo., to Alexander and Florence (Murphy) Diederich. He was a past member of St. Augustine's Church, where he attended grade school and graduated from Center High School in 1968. He worked for Nuts & Nails Hardware, Smitty's Outdoor Lawn & Garden and most recently for AES, Inc. for 16 years. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marie Darcy Diederich; daughter Amy Davis; son Daniel Reynolds; son Michael Diederich; daughters Chrissy Kemplay and husband James, Nancy Diederich, Katie Diederich, and grandchildren Kyle Reynolds and Nycole and Alexa Davis; first wife and friend, Dodi Reynolds.
