Not sure what to say?

Dr Dismukes was a wonderful example of the perfect doctor. He was kind, compassionate and brilliant. He was so supportive of me during my Internal Medicine residency at UAB. He touched so many lives. I just learned of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I just learned of Dr. D's passing. He was a well-respected physician and well-loved man by all who worked with or for him. I knew him both as a floor nurse and a research nurse for the department. Dr. D had the utmost respect for the nurses who worked with him, which was much appreciated. He was also a gracious gentleman, which was a problem when we'd travel to conferences. He was always trying to help all of the ladies traveling with him with our baggage! My favorite memory, however, is when...

In the path of life, there are persons you meet and there are persons you wish to become more like. Dr. Dismukes was one of those individuals who was a teacher, a physician and a role model for becoming a better person. May he rest in peace knowing of all the lives and careers he touched and improved.

May God give you strength and guidance during this difficult time. Bill will be missed by all.

Dear Amy, John and Scott - Curtis and I were so sorry to hear from Joe Price that Bill had died. I know he has had a long struggle these last couple of years. What a Prince of a fellow he was!. Our time together in college and afterwards was so enjoyable and provide many happy memories and stories to share with my children. The trip that Bill, Joe and I made to California and back (driving !) will always provide many happy memories, as will the wedding in Amherst and subsequent visits. As Joe...

I am one of so many UASOM students, interns, and residents whose medical education and life was touched by this good and gracious man, physician, and teacher. Only a very few of my medical professors remain in my memory. He is one of those. We were all blessed by his life.

My sincere condolences to your family. May God Almighty give you comfort and strength.

May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times you shared together as you celebrate a life well lived and loved by many. Psalms 90:10.

Where do we begin to list all the wonderful times we had over the years with Pidgie & Bill -- tennis games, dinners out or at our Cape homes, cocktails on our boats, then golf (we were all beginners and not too good but still so much fun). It was always a blessing to be together and to get to know each other. We know how much Bill missed Pidgie and now they are together and one day we will all be together in our eternal home. Our hearts and prayers are with Amy, Scott and Jay and their...
