I did not know Dr. Doherty very well but when I worked at Enloe I recall his dedication, professionalism, skill as a surgeon with admiration. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I will miss seeing this intellectual giant who added so much to our community.

Worked with Dr. D in the Operating Room at Enloe from 1989-2003. We always used to say "he's building a better bridge" on those long complicated cases. Remember him fondly. So sorry for our loss. Etta L

I am so very sad for the loss of Dr. D. I worked with him in the OR at Enloe from the time he started there until he stopped doing surgery. I was also a patient of his for many years. He was an excellent physician and surgeon, as well as being great to work with. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family at this difficult time.

Dr. Doherty literally saved my leg when I was 12. He immediately recognized that I was in jeopardy of my leg dying when I came in and he operated 3 days later. I went onto play college basketball and have had a very active life. He was so kind and I am so sorry to see he died.
