Our sincere condolences to Dot and to all of Bill's wonderful family. Bill and I met and became friends in the Fall of 1958 as incoming freshman at St Michael College. The St Mike's connection lasted for years as we both stayed involved with the college. In what seems like only yesterday we worked together with Brian O'Connor on our Golden Knights 50th reunion. Bill was a giver, a contributor to whatever organization he was involved. He was insightful and bright with a great Irish whit. We...

In 1960 when I arrived on the St Mike's campus Bill was a leader among the upper class men charged with getting the freshmen oriented and off on the right foot. Bill's natural charisma and style embodied what I believed to be what a "Purple Knight" should be striving for. Clearly Bill succeeded in achieving that through out his life. I am glad I had a chance to say hello just a few months ago in Portland. My condolences to the entire Donahue family.
