bill's family: bill was my first patrol director, at Eldora, in 1966. bill showed me that the energy and passion for skiing and patrolling could be sustained for many years. A model of kindness and imagination. Bill never failed a call for help. When my daughter found high school less than challenging and wished to drop out and take courses at CU, Bill was the Director of Admissions. After I related the story to him, he said: "Done! She's in." No red tape, no hurdles to clear. If the university were staffed with more people like him, we'd have a celestial house in which to study. His memory will never dim.
