Downum, William "Dub" Edgar, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the age of 72.
Beloved husband of the late Panyi Downum; survived by brothers Leroy and Charles Downum, daughter Eirah Elmer, son Chad Downum, grandchildren Caleigh, Ruth, Toby, and Harrison, and great granddaughters Elizabeth, Anna, and Lily.
William served as a kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable registered nurse, clinic manager, and trauma educator for nearly 50 years. He obtained his MBA in December 2023. He enjoyed golf and learning about God and valued time with his friends, children, and grandchildren.
Services: Visitation will be conducted at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin on Friday, December 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Louis Chinese Christian Church, 832 N Woods Mill Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017 on Saturday, December 13th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider dedicating a donation to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in memory of William Downum (https://gifts.mdanderson.org/). Gary and I went to elementary, mid school and High School with EW. In Moriarty New Mexico. Dub was a good guy and had many many friends from those days Rest in Peace EW.
