Not sure what to say?

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Ms. Fran and her family. Mr. Duncan will be greatly missed by George and I. We will always cherish our time spent with the two of you. You and your family will forever be in our thoughts and prayers.

Memories of uncle Bill visiting us in Alaska are strong. Some of my very first memories include him yet he lived so far away. There was never any doubt that uncle Bill loved us because he showed us on his rare visits. Several years ago I spent two weeks with him and aunt Fran and got to experience uncle Bill as an adult. I'll forever hold on to the feeling of his hugs, his strength, his humor and his love of aunt Fran and my mom. And I will never forget him telling my 45-year old self...

Indeed our prayers for your comfort and strength are with you Leslie.

When Bill was first in the USAF, 1952/53?

Remembering my brother Bill, and when I was little, I called him Brother Bill. He always stayed in touch and found us wherever we were living and it seemed like we lived in a different place every time he was able to come and visit us. Then later when I was older he taught me how to change oil in my car, an old Volkswagon that he had restored. He helped me a lot in a lot of things and he and Fran always welcomed Jay, and Casey, and I into their home and hearts. He is why I went into the Air...

Bill Duncan was the greatest SIM Instructor I ever knew. He taught me the 141's electronics system like nobody else could have. He was able to get through to me. One of the best FE's I ever knew. I treated Bart the way Bill treated me - with respect and trust. I hope I had a tenth of the impact on 141 flight engineers as Bill did.

Fran, Dena, Bart, & Family,

With all our heart we love you and pray for God's mercy and grace to provide comfort to each of you.

Bill profoundly touched our lives in remarkable ways:

*He had a unique way of respecting all of us with his very own brand of genuine honesty. If Bill agreed with us, he said so; and likewise, when he disagreed he had the fortitude and courage to express his true feelings and thoughts.
*In every way Duncan maintained open and...

Bill Duncan was a friend. He and I were fellow "inmates", i.e., patients, at the Summerville Medical Center's Cardiac Rehab program under the expert care and management of RNs Judy LeGates and Jen Williamson for two or three years. Bill and I shared stories of flying and other life experiences of career military men via the exchange of many emails over the years; although our trails in the service of our country never crossed as he was Air Force and I was an Army aviator, he and I were able...

Rest in peace. It was a honor to have known and flown with the Chief. Bob Humphress, SMSgt (retired) 15 MAS Loadmaster 1974-1992

The finest Flight Engineer Examiner & Mentor that I have had the pleasure of knowing during my Air Force Career. The Chief will always be remembered by both the 63rd & 445th Military Airlift Wings.
Rest in peace Bill and may GOD BE WITH YOU – Vic Hoy, CMSgt (retired), 730 ALS, Flight Engineer
