A Marine Vietnam Veteran has passed away today. Bill, you are now relieved from your post. You have secured your final beachhead. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final volley has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow war veteran.

I´m so glad to have had the opportunity to meet Bill and his family that came to visit at the VA. Bill won my heart from day one when I met him at the VA. Especially with his saying, "One day at a time." This too was also my saying many days. He was a down to earth kind of guy. I will miss him being particular about certain things and the way he had to have his furniture in his room and the way he folded his blue napkins. He will be truly missed. He told many of us care takers "I love you"...

Our thoughts and prayers with the family. Bill was a great guy to work with at Hershey.
