William Dunlap

In August 1969 Sandy Dunlap (Skip's relative) and I stopped in Longview on our way to Viet Nam. We were concerned about our future, but Skip and Barb opened up their home and their hearts to us and for a few days we forgot our fears. 50 plus years later both of them have a special place in my heart.

Barb, I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers at your time of loss.

My association and friendship with Skip is new when compared to many who have written about their experiences with him. I met Skip thru the AARP Tax Aide program in 2002. Skip was a dedicated volunteer, a quick learner with attention to detail. He treated every person he assisted with dignity, patience and kindness. I always told him I wanted to grow up to be just like him and I will continue to aspire toward that goal.

The world needs more Skips. We will miss him.

I worked with Skip at Weyerhaeuser arranging cash advances & reserving a company car for him. He always had a ready smile & a duck story to share. It is said we're never far from the Love of ones we've lost for we meet again in each memory....
