William V. Earhart

William V. Earhart, Sr., 81, of Galion, died Wednesday, Mar. 20, 2013 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion. Born Dec. 12, 1931 in Hillsdale, Michigan, he was the son of the late Thomas and Kathleen (Wybrew) Earhart. He was preceded in death on July 15, 2011 by his wife, Marilyn J. (Hullinger) Earhart whom he married on Feb. 19, 1950. Bill was a heavy equipment operator for Purdy Construction for 39 years in Mansfield. He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, William V. and Sarah Earhart, Jr. of Galion and Charles S. Earhart of Galion; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Kyle, Natalie, Lucas, Victor, Abbi and Erika; eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Lou (Stan) Thompson of Florida and Jeanie (Harold) Cotter of Ontario. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 24, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Mar. 25 with Dr. Daniel A. Turner officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
