Not sure what to say?

The passing of a true friend is never easy, however my fond and many memories of Bill will always be with me. We have shared many dangerous and unnerving times together as Marines and again working as explosive consul tants in the oilfield!!

Jane,
I rec'd your Christmas card today and was so sorry to learn of Bill's death. Please know you, Karen, Andrea, and the rest of your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jane and Family,
I'm so glad I was able to talk to Bill
at our class reunion in August. I mentioned his passing to my younger brother Jon, who lives in Dallas, and he had read the obituary notice, was going to the funeral but his wife had
an emergency doctor appt. Lots of good
memories of Bill from Dr. Howard thru high school. My thoughts are with you,
your family and Carl who was in school with my sister Nancy.

Dear Aunt Jane,
I hope you know how you are in my thoughts. I remember Uncle Bill very well, and have fond memories. My prayers, thoughts and blessings are with you. I am also glad my dad and brother are going to be there.

I think Uncle Bill was a truely wonderful man.

Love,

Jane, We are very sorry to learn of the loss of our dear friend "Bill". We are going to miss him greatly up here at the Lodge. He always brought a smile in with him. We were very proud to have him as a 50 year member and had looked forward to honoring him in December.

God Bless

Jane and all of the East family.

I am saddened to learn of Bill's passing.

I lived in the west end of Champaign and have known the East family most of my life.

I joined the Marine Corps with Bill way back in '54 and the good fortune to go thru Boot camp with him in San Diego. We were separated after Boot Camp, but always remained friends.

Buill was an outstandding Marine, as I'm sure, a Husband and Father, as well.

Dear Jane East;

Sorry to hear of Bill. I did not make it to the 55th anniversary because of some medical problems, but I remember talking to him at the 50th anniversary. I do remember about him watching over some of the things I helped invent working at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. And of course I remember all his activities at Champaign High School.

I wish you well in future.
