Not sure what to say?

My husband, Jeff, and I met Bill Easterling after his son Bryan met and fell in love with Jeff's sister, Carole. When the two became engaged, Carole asked me to be her matron of honor and I was thrilled. Little did we know at that time that I was expecting our second child and that I would need yards and yards of rustling blue taffeta to cover my huge belly for the wedding. :) Little did we know that Bryan would choose his father, Bill, to be his Best Man! The days that led up to the wedding...

Dear Easterling Family,

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Easterling. He and I served on the education committee of the NC Medical Society, and would have wonderful conversations. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Easterling was a great friend to Penick Village and the many residents and staff members who live and work here. He always had a smile, Carolina football or basketball story, and time to listen. He will be greatly missed as a board member but more importantly as a friend. I am very sorry for your loss but in your time of grief also celebrate Dr. Easterling's life and know that he is at peace and in heaven with our father God.

Dr. Easterling delivered my son. I met him again a few years back and reminded him of this. He told me a story of meeting someone in (I think)in Switzerland that told him the same thing. My wife and I share in your grief.

To the family of Dr. William Easterling:
I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. May the God of all comfort help you during this difficult time.
