Not sure what to say?

Dr. Eckbert was the emodiment of the Christian professional par excellence. His name was synonymous with integrity and respect. When he gave advice, people in Cramerton believed it and implemented it. Specialists in Charlotte raved about his referral letters and other physicians in Gaston County often spoke of his acumen. To know Dr. Eckbert was to love him. From textile shift workers, struggling single moms, those with special needs, my Grandpappy with a third-grade education to the average...

Bill, Jr. and Patricia,
You are both in my thoughts and prayers. I can only imagine how thrilled Aunt Sarah and Tommy were to see Uncle BIll. I remember while growing up how humble and calming his voice was during visits to each others homes. I read to Mother all the wonderful things that were written about Uncle Bill. She sends her love too. God bless all the wonderful memories you have to comfort you.
Love,
Beth

To the Eckbert Family, I am truly sorry for your loss, but rejoicing in my heart for heaven's gain. Dr. Eckbert brought me into this world in March, 1946. He was the best doctor I have ever had. There will be many jewels in his crown to lay at Jesus's feet because he blest so many lives. May God richly bless all of you.

The Eckberts were so much a part of our small town and the Presbyterian Church, one can not think of one without the other. Always kind and professional, Dr. Eckbert treated my whole family and the families of so many of our friends. He and Sarah will always be held in high regard and fond memories. Brenda Reece Austin

To the Eckbert Family:
Your Dad was one of the greatest doctors I ever knew and a wonderful person. He delivered my first child in 1957 and he treated me like his own child having a baby. I was only 18 yrs old. Everyone in Cramerton loved him and your Mom. My deepest sympathy to your family. (also Dr. Bill I was one of your classmates up until you left to go to Belmont Abbey) I would love to have your address and the next reunion we have, we would love for you to come.My email address:...

To the Family of Dr. Eckbert. Dr. Eckbert was my Dad's Dr. for many years before he passed away when my parents ran the store at the intersection of Beaty Road and New Hope. Mr. & Mrs. Eckbert were also Neighbors of Theirs in Southwood. Dr. Eckbert was alway so kind to us kids when he came in the store. Our family sends
their deepest sympathy. Our Mom passed away Nov. 1, 09 and when I read
about Dr. Eckbert it made me even more
sad. We will keep his family in our...

I worked with Dr.Eckbert at GMH for many years. He was the kindest, most compassionate, and smartest doctor I have ever worked with. His stories of the many uses of WD-40 were hilarious. I, along with so many others miss him already. Prayers for his family and loved ones. Shirley Shelton,RN
