Dr. Edwards blessed my life as a college student and a religion major at Samford. I quote him from time to time in sermons and always with a smile.

Though I came to the religion department a year after Dub retired, I was blessed to get to know him over the next several years. He was always full of good cheer and humor and built a wonderful tradition for us who came after him. I always have warm memories of him and Peg whenever I pass their old house. May they rest in peace and rise in glory.

I remember most my relationship with Dub Edwards. I thought of him as an insightful teacher, impeccable scholar, and a model of Christian ministry. It seems like only yesterday that I was sitting in a chair in his office, asking a question, wanting some advice. Always happy to oblige, he was there, just being the friend of a young...
