Dear Hedy,

We met you and Bill in New Orleans last November when we all gathered to celebrate the installation of the Ruby Bridges Statue at James Franz School. Maggie and I feel so fortunate that we had the opportunity to get to know Bill before he passed. The evening we spent with the two of you was one of the highlights of our trip.

I met Bill on the tennis courts at Memorial Park way back in the 70's. We frequently played mixed doubles together. He was a friend, and one of my sponsors for Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids' Sake.
