Not sure what to say?

I had the privilege, and honor, of sitting with Bill Eisen for about an hour in his Tonawanda home, back in (if memory serves) Spring 1982, to hear about his experiences during WW2. He had graciously agreed to sit with this (then teenaged) UB student, who as part of a 5 credit hour course on WW2 -- and with some assistance and guidance from the Brooklyn Holocaust Center on Ave J near Ocean Ave (which is no longer in existence) -- was interviewing, and taping for posterity (on cassette)...

I had the pleasure of working at the Kleinhans Service Center on Hertel Ave. with Mr.Eisen between 1984-1990. He was truly a wonderful human being and I feel honored to have known him. God Bless him and my sympathy to his family.

We met Bill at the Blvd. Mall and always enjoyed talking with him. What a wonderful person. Our prayers are with you

We are so sorry for the loss of William and our prayers go out to his dear wife Sara and family. Our prayer is that your hearts will be comforted during this time of morning. Please feel free to contact us. God Bless you

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help at this time.

Dr Eisen and family,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I remember meeting him many years ago while I worked for you. He was a Special Man. God bless you all!
Fondly,
Angie Archibald

I'm very sorry to hear of Mr. Eisen's passing. My mother worked with him some time ago and I met him a few times. I will never forget him. I was young, yet old enough to know what the Holocaust was about. And when he showed me the mark they left on his wrist, it left a mark on me forever. I can't imagine what he was witness to, and had to endure. The world just lost a strong person.

What are remarkable legacy this man has left ! This survivor lead others to understanding by his life, words and deeds. Those of us who are privileged to know his offspring know what wonderful people they all are. The world is a little colder without Mr. Eisen in it. Our sincere sympathies go out to all who mourn his passing.

Dear Eisen Family,
How very sad to lose such a dear and caring man. He will always be remembered with love by our family.
May he find peace and may all of the good recollections bring a smile during the sad days.
