I was lucky enough to have been seated next to Mr. Ela at one of the outdoor farm dinners held at the Ela Family farm. He was charming, witty and gracious. a lovely and very accomplished gentleman.

Rest in Peace Mr. Ela. I was blessed to have known him. My prayers and condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's death and send my condolences to all those touched by Bill and Shirley. They have both made remarkable contributions to western Colorado and I am grateful for the small ways we connected (by way of Grand Valley Audubon) through the years.
