Not sure what to say?

My dad was the most intelligent and empathetic person I've ever known. He knew how to deal with everybody, always adapting his message to what they needed to hear. It was not always an easy message - often, it was hard. But it was always kind.

Bill was a friend and mentor! I will miss his presence and friendship! I met him through lacrosse as a coach. My son Nick competed with his teams and my son Brandon played for his teams. Both respect him for his commitment to and passion for Texas lacrosse! He gave so much and impacted so many! One of my favorite life lessons that Bill taught his players was, “act like you have been there before” when they scored a goal and celebrated! I had the opportunity to coach against Bill, with...

Bill was a mentor and coach to our five sons, John, Stephen, Michael, Billy, and Jimmy, always guiding them to pursue “excellence.” Someone once said that “ life is a marathon, not a sprint. “ When I visited him near the end to offer encouragement, he said he would never give up. He taught our sons many things, but never giving up was the greatest lesson.

Bill was a good man. I knew him through lacrosse, namely the THSLL. Great leader. he will be missed. Thoughts to the family.

The team & parents became a family! My late husband & I are also proud parents of an Eagle Scout (troop 575) because of Bill’s persistence. He said, “they should get it done before the fumes take hold. the perfumes & the gas fumes”. Michael & his best bud, Gray Garmon became Eagle Scouts in the spring of their senior...
