Hi Dad,

So many things remind us of you. Of course your legacy remains because of all the people you touched through the church. There are days and times I get very sad because you are not here, but I then rejoice because you are where you worked to be all your life.

We miss and love you much,

I truly treasure the thoughts and times we spent together. I have nothing but the greatest memories of who you were and how you still are a vital element in the continuing work at Washington Shores Church of Christ. You are still bearing fruit to this very day!

I finally understand the statement,
"The greatest joy I have is knowing my children are involved and working for the Lord and His church."

Today we miss you because we feel an emptiness left...

I knew you through your children, especially your daughter, and through your reputation as a church leader. Your life here was important to me because of the blessings I have received through your role as a father and as a respected Christian minister. What remains here is a fitting tribute to your time here.

We miss you so much, especially this week as one year has passed since we last saw you. We enjoyed going to Washington Shores this morning for the Sunday service. Brother Jenkins touched our hearts and paid special tribute to you - what you've created in that church and the many people you turned to the Lord.
