Not sure what to say?

I can hardly believe it is five years. I still think of Bill so very often. He was part of my world. I really miss him.

Thank you Sir. R.I.P.

To one of the finest teachers I have ever encountered, Mr. Esberg, your memory will endure with me always! Your rendition of the characters in the prescribed novels that we read will always resonate!!!!! I am a better person because of people like you!!!!! You influenced generations of students at the hallowed halls of our beloved Asbury Park High School!!!!! May yor family know the influence you had and still have on your students!!!!! Continue to Rest in Eternal Peace, Sir!!!!!

Last night I had a dream about Mr. Esberg. He´s the reason I started writing and one of my favorite high school teachers. I am so sad to see that he passed two years ago.

Thank You For all the goodness you have given, We miss you

I can hardly believe it´s been a year. I miss Bill so much. Every time we go out to eat, I think of Bill. And, it´s holiday time. He´s usually at our house. RIP Bill. You are loved.

To Bill Esberg
“Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile,
Understand, in your hearts I’ve gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you,
I can live my life in the hearts of of all of you.”
The friendship of a teacher from 1969 ,Bill saw me in the 1980’s at MMC. We began the Christmas cards each year,no matter where I moved . Then the luncheons at the Culinary Institute. It began with the two of us and grew into more each month....

Kate-
I would love to speak to you! Just today February 11th did I find this. I tried(unsuccessfully to speak to one of my neighbor’s where I use to work) Ellen Winnick, but struck out. She is not well, fighting cancer.
I forgot one person who may have confirmed Bill’s death, his newborn Chef Soriano. Even his caretaker Laura’s card was returned. I think she may have died too.
I do so overwhelmed with grief, for sure. I woukd have loved to have tuned into his memorial but...

Bill didn't like being called Billy. He mentioned that to me about 5 years ago. We'd been playing bridge together for about 10 years at that time, and I was shocked. He'd always been Billy - from the time I first played against him 30 years ago, a novice facing an intimidating master. As we got to know each other that veneer slipped away - revealing a warm, sensitive and sympathetic man. If he liked you, you were golden. If not, well...

Bill had a great quality for a bridge...
