William Richard Evans

Marion, VA 

William Richard Evans, age 67, went to be with the Lord, May 31, 2022 at the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion.

He was a member of Chilhowie Baptist Church and was self employed for many years in the home building and excavating business.  He was a friend to many and would give you anything he had. 

He was born in Marion and was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Cart” Evans and AlBurnice “AB” Call Evans, 2 brothers, Harold Evans and Danny Darrell Evans. 

Survivors include, his wife, Roxane Miller Evans; his daughters, Amillia Nevaeh Blackwell, Sheri Shelton and husband Les, Shellie Belcher and husband Matt; siblings, Ruth Tilley,  Carson and Freda Evans, Wayne and Vanessa Evans, Dartty and Kathy Evans, Dallas “Tony” Evans, Janie and Dale Gobble, Helen Taylor, Dave Evans;  one grandchild, Cameron Belcher, many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7PM Friday June 3, 2022 at Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor David Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7PM prior to services.  Interment will be private.  Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family www.bradleysfh.com.  Bradley’s Funeral Home is serving the Evans family.
