William J. Filer

I was real excited as a little girl to find out that I had a half-brother, Will. I will never forget that day! And several years ago, Will wrote me an e-mail and the subject was written "From Your Brother"....and I thought it was really neat. After reading Will's eulogy, I see that he & I had lots in common. Even though we grew up apart, he was always in my heart.

I placed a picture of Wil in a frame above my refrigerator so I can see him everyday to remember him. He will be missed.

Will was such a fun loving big kid! We will miss him.

Uncle Bill was at our wedding in 2003 and was the life of the party. What a great personality,and loving heart. We wish we would have had another chance to see him, to share some of the funny wedding pictures with him. He will be missed. Love Jordan & Melissa Duke

William left a lasting impression on my life and that of my family. He was selfless in his actions and would always put others first. He was a great leader of whom I will always look up to. I think about him often and it is my hope to see him again someday. He was a dear friend and will always remain in my heart.

Bill, Even tho we only met a few times, My thoughts are with you and your family. I pray that you have found your peace. Look out for those love you.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

William was a great Son and a great friend and had a genuine interest in many things. I love him very much.
