William Fitch III

Bill and I were classmates in the Infantry Officer Advanced Course at Fort Benning. It was conducted over three summers and I can't recall which cycle it was--1970, 1971 or 1972. But I recall Bill clearly. He had already served in Vietnam and earned his CIB. He was outgoing, really likable. A good, reliable friend. He spoke rapidly and with conviction. Totally honest; if you didn't want to hear the truth, you didn't ask him. There were hundreds of us there for that program over three summers....
