Not sure what to say?

I worked with Bill at Mercy in the 1970s. He was kind, soft-spoken and loved a good joke. Funny memory..he had a great head of hair and would run his hand through his hair. Never saw him after I left in 1980s but looks like he led a good, long life and kept that head of hair. My sympathy to his wife and family.

My condolences to Kay and the entire Fitzsimmons family. I had the good fortune to work with Billy Fitz at C. E. Smith drug store, back in the day...50 some odd years ago. He was a wonderful guy and an excellent pharmacist. I have fond memories of my time with him. My daughter and her family live on the same street you folks lived on in WS. Anyone who knew Bill was fortunate. He was one of the good guys.

My condolences to Kay and her family. I first met Fitzy in 1976 when I applied for a position at Mercy. He was a good friend, good mentor, and an all-around great guy. I often sought out his advice. My wife got to bond with Kay during a conference in Las Vegas. God Bless you Bill! You will be missed!

I am so sorry to hear of Bill´s passing. I worked at Mercy hospital in the 1970´s and knew Bill there as well as being on the hospital golf league - he was a very good player ! I was quietly impressed with the courage he showed while recuperating from his facial surgery- and never missing a beat to be friendly and positive. An old golf friend Jim Wuller.

To the Fitzsimmons family Bill and Kay were neighbors and close friends of my parents, Connie & Ed. We grew up together during our "wonder years" on Mass Ave and I have many fond memories of that time in my life. I was a daytime babysitter for summer mornings for Kathy, Eileen and Billy and also worked with Bill later on at the Pharmacy at Mercy. He was caring and kind and always had a story, a joke or a warm smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Maureen (Miles) Ryan

Bill was such a nice man! I called on him as a Medical Rep and he was always helpful, knowledgeable and best of all a genuinely good man! My condolences to his family.

So sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers.

Bill lived across the street from us. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and a kind for all. He was a good man.

I was in Holyoke High School 1951 class with William. He was one of the nicest people in the class.
