William E. "Bill" Forrest

It was an honor to get to know Bill. He was unfailingly kind and generous to me and my family when we moved to Humboldt County a few years ago, sharing his memories of growing up in Fortuna and sharing the apples from his trees. I will always have fond memories of this kind and caring man.

Bill was my good friend. We worked together in Fortuna for nine years. He loved his job and was good at it. We would travel to Grasshopper Mountain to work on the relay stations and he would talk about his family. He was helpful, kind and had many friends. I will never forget the good times working with Bill.
