William Fox

Father Fox is what I secretly called you. You were a man that had many wonderful years watching with a careful eye and raising a family as best as one knew how. I was especially greatful to you and your wonderful wife Nora because of our wonderful child, your grand-child, Gavin Michael Briseno. I wish I would have expressed that to you more when you were with us. May you sit at the right hand of God and bestow mercy and wisdom upon our entire family. George Briseno.

Bill & I met when I was in the 3rd or 4th
grade. I grew up knowing him and Bob most of my life. Being in Florida, I will miss seeing an old friend one last time.

I have never met a man with more character or conviction. You served us all well. I promise to follow your lead on my journey with the love you gave in my heart, the wisdom you shared on my mind, and the kindness you bestowed upon all you met in the palm of my out stretched hand. To me, Mr. Fox was one of those Mercurial male figures of my younger adult life whose personal characteristics struck me as those to be emulated as best as possible: Everything, from raging at the tube when Notre Dame did something stupid, to those provocative discussions which strangers might mistake for brink-of-dukes arguments that often ended with billowing laughter instead. I remember jolly St. Patrick's Day parties, and how much life there was in the household as its patriarch milled...

I love you Great Grandpa. Thank you for letting me play with my buddy Aaron at your house. We always had fun with you.

May you find peace and comfort in Bill's memory. I will forever remember him at our house talking with my father for hours upon end and how much he and my father loved good conversation over coffee.
