I've only just found out about your passing Billy. I will never forget your genuine kindness to all your fans. You sat up all night with me and my friends, recounting your memories of your time in the band. I remember how thrilled I was to get a letter from you too. Thanks for the memories Billy. RIP xx

Good night, Dad...

It is with great sadness that I heard belatedly of Billy's death. I met him through a friend while he toured the UK with Dr Hook and I painted a watercolour portrait of him. What a true Southern Gentleman; a man of kindness and civility, Although I only met him briefly, many years ago, I remember the meeting fondly. He was part of a band and a moment in time that gave many people a great deal of pleasure. I send my sympathy and condolences to his daughter and family.
