Have only been told of Bill's passing last evening. I am deeply saddened for I recalled another New Year's Day years ago. I'd known Bill in NY in the 'salad days' of the late 50's/early 60's. I remember his unyielding love for dear Bree and the heartbreak of her loss. I hope they are together now. In peace and freedom.

Our paths divided and I'd seldom seen Bill in the intervening years. He was a bright light and I have--and will continue to--kept that beacon close to my heart.

I never met Bill but wish to offer my sympathy at his passing. One of his students has given joy and hope to so many. In a way, his legacy is Bill's legacy too. Saying a prayer for him and hoping for peace at this difficult time for his family.

Thank you for your temper, that got us learning a hell of a lot quicker than any mollycoddling could ever had done. You never did it without love.

Worked for Bill for several years housekeeping. He was pleasant and witty and could always make me laugh and smile. RIP Bill.
