William "Bill" Fried

Bill was one of my first bosses in Fairbanks and I was only fourteen years old as a box boy at Foodland. A great guy, showed me a lot and because of him am still in the grocery business for 42 years. Our deepest sympathy to the family, Bill will be missed by many.

To Lois, Diane & family, JoAnn & family: My sincere condolences to all of you. My memories of working with Bill, and you girls, are still clear and precious. Truly, Foodland was like a family and Bill was a great boss, mentor and friend. Wendell and I share your loss. May God give you comfort and strength.

I met Bill at Foodland shopping many years ago. I used to gas his vehicle when I worked at Don's Union 76 on 12th and Noble. Nicest guy in the world! Fairbanks has lost a good soul...Jacques legerat

Bill was my first boss! I couldn't have asked for a better man to work for when I was younger. He was kind hearted and his amazing sense of humor will never be forgotten. I had many wonderful memories working for Bill at Foodland. Thinking of you and your family!
