Not sure what to say?

Been thinking about Billy Friedman recently, as more old friends pass and also reconnecting with people after shutdown. I hope Pat is well and thriving and I´m sure the good memories help to sustain her.

Maybe my unconscious knew it was near his yarzheit. Was just remembering Billy Friedman the other day. We had reconnected after many years and Id enjoyed his friendship, sharing memories and love of music, and meeting Pat and going out with them.

I keep hearing "will you miss me? Will you miss me, will you miss me when I'm gone...?". Our hearts too go out to Pat, and we know Bill will be missed by many.

So sad to lose an old friend and former bandmate. Bill played guitar and sang in The Downstate Rebels from 1961-'63. Together we played Carnegie and Town Halls and (improbably) were recorded by pop star Bobby Darin, who hoped to make us into "the college sound of bluegrass"--even though we were mostly in High school at the time. In the pat year I was fortunate to visit with Bill on several occasions. He retained his wit and sparkle even as he struggled harder against his ailments. My heart...
