Not sure what to say?

Dear Marty and family,
I just learned that Bill had passed away on Memorial Day and write to express my sadness and condolences. No professor and friend had greater impact on my professional career and life than did Bill. We will all have wonderful and fond memories of him. Please know that my thoghts are with you during these sad days and will be so in the future.
Warmest regards,
Ham Hannah

God Bless you Marty and the whole family. I am glad I wrote Bill my feelings during the last year. He was truly one of my best teachers and mentors.

My condolences to Marty, to Will, and to the Fry Family. Dr. Fry remains instrumental in my practice of surgery foremost because of his example of each being responsible for educating himself and those in his sphere of influence. Dr. Fry will remain my Chief always.
Brian Piazza, SJMH Surgery 1990-'95

I was truly saddened to read of Dr. Fry's passing. As a member of his first internship class at UT Southwestern I've always felt a particular bond to Dr. Fry as did all the members of that class. His professionalism, manner and demeanor were reflected in the large number of surgeons he trained and the infinitely larger number of patients who benefited from this educator. My thoughts and prayers are with Marty, Will and the entire family.

I'll always know you as "Mrs. Fry", as you were my 1st grade teacher. Our prayers go out to you & your family: God help to keep you strong. Your beloved husband helped so many.

My heart goes out to you, Marty! I have been fortunate enough to know Dr. Fry and Marty for some years now, as a server at the Old Mission Tavern. They are both such lovely people! I will always remember Dr. Fry's quiet grace and kind smile. I hope they have extra olives in heaven! My love to Marty and the family!

It is with deep sorrow that I received the news of Bill Fry's death. Having trained under his leadership and guidance at Parkland and UT Southwestern in Dallas from 1979 to 1984 and having been a co-resident with both Dick and Will Fry, I realize what a tremendous loss to society as a whole and, in particular,to medicine and surgeons this represents. Bill instilled a sense of honor and respect in all of his residents. He taught us valuable lessons in not just being a surgeon but also in being...

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Fry at the U of M in the 60s and 70s. It was indeed a privilege to know a person of such outstanding character as a man, surgeon and educator as Dr.Fry. My condolences to his family.
