Dear Peggy and Girls, this is Burkhardt (Germany). I do not know what to say. so many years have passed by. the last two weeks I have been thinking of my american family and today I typed in bills name into a searchengine in the internet, i do not know why, but I did. I was so sad to hear that Bill passed away. I will always remember the wonderful times I had with your family at Southside. You two were instrumental in my teenage years and I will never forget you. You are in my prayers.

I'll never forget "Upside-down Bill". He was a great person, wonderful neighbor, and fantastic father figure...to us all. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of the world, he will be greatly missed. xoxox

We have such fond memories of Bill from our high school years. He was liked by everyone and was great in many sports. Bill had a cute, shy way about himself that won everyones hearts.

He will surely be missed by his friends and relatives. We know God will welcome him with open arms.
