Rev. William Ennis Fuller, 91, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away at his home on Thursday, January 2, 2020. He was born on June 7, 1928, in Cushing, Texas. to Allie and Ernest Fuller.  He married Willie Mae Fuller on September 11, 1947, and she passed away on October 26, 1993. He then married Faye Kelso on February 17, 1996. He is survived by his children, Travis Fuller and wife, Joni of Nacogdoches Texas, Miriam Lee and husband, Billy of Prosper Texas, Timothy Fuller and wife, Connie of Groveton, Texas and Mike Fuller and wife, Samantha of Cushing, Texas; step-children, Melissa Riegel and husband, Charles, Brian Kelso and wife, Donna of Paris, Texas, Paul Kelso and wife, Roxanne of Cooper, Texas, Sherry Owen and husband, Randy of Dexter Missouri, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Reeves of Rowlett, Texas and brother, Bruce Fuller of Lubbock, Texas. He was preceded in death by both wives, parents; son, James C. Fuller; his sister, Wilma Fuller and brother, Autry C. Fuller. He served in the Military and was a Sargent in The First Calvary Division, 8th Regiment. He was an avid patriot to the core. Having served in WWII, his deep admiration of General Douglas MacArthur and great military geniuses was often weaved into sermons.  Upon returning home from the Army, he was converted and filled with the Holy Ghost. He entered the ministry in August of 1948. He was in the ministry for 71 years and affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church. He received his ministerial license in 1950.  Bro. Fuller served as Section 4 presbyter for 16 years. He served in various leadership capacities amongst the UPC organization. His first Pastorate was Midway Church, in Cushing Texas. He then moved on to pastor the following churches; Woden UPC, Henderson UPC, Denver Harbor in Houston, Texas, which is now Royal Wood and Eastside UPC in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was pastor at Eastside from 1965-2001. His grandson, Ennis L. Fuller has served as pastor of Eastside since his retirement. He was a member of Eastside and actively involved in the pulpit ministry until his death. Many ministers, International Evangelist and missionaries developed from his ministry.  He was a gentle giant loved by all. If you knew Brother Fuller you would have loved him too! He will be greatly missed by his many family, friends, the entire United Pentecostal Organization and the East Texas community. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2020 and a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2020. The visitation and service will be at Eastside United Pentecostal Church, 800 Chris Haney Road, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961 with Rev. W. Earl Shiflet, Rev. Ennis L. Fuller and Rev. Timothy L. Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery at Cushing, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Claire Brothers Funeral Home, 7901 Hillcroft Street, Houston, Texas 77081.

It saddens me to hear of Bro Fuller passing. But then I think of his eternal reward and start wanting to rejoice. His great granddaughter Brianna is my daughter n law. He once told her that he kept praying that she would marry someone that was good and have the Pentecostal faith. God answered that prayer for him as many others have been answered. It was a blessing to see her be baptized by him and also for his great great grandson Jimmy to be dedicated to God by him. Reverend Fuller will...
