I have many fond memories of hunting with Bill and asking advice about patient surgical needs. He probably is telling St. Peter some of his best stories. May he rest now with a life well lived and that served so many.

I was a patient of Dr. Gaithersburg when I was a child, starting back in 1969 to 1980. He removed a tumor in my jaw and reconstructed my face over the course of several years and surgeries, working with Baylor. I am 60 years old now, but in my memories, he looks just like the picture at the beginning of this tribute. I am happy to know he lived a long, fulfilling life.
