William R. "Bill" Gangemi, Sr., 79, formerly of The Villages in Florida and Bushkill Township, PA, passed away peacefully at home in Forks Township, PA, while in the loving care of his family. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth D. (Hunkele) Gangemi. The couple celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on January 28th.
Born in South Plainfield, New Jersey, Bill was a son of the late Frank A. Gangemi and Bernadette (Windt) Gangemi-Shauger, and the step-son of the late Donald Shauger. A 1964 graduate of Morris Hills High School in Rockaway, NJ, Bill worked in the construction industry for many years and was last employed as a building subcode official. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing golf and softball.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Liz, he will be dearly missed by his daughter, Christine Gangemi-Boyd; son, William R. "Bill" Gangemi, Jr.; four grandchildren, Ryan, Sean, Jenna, and Macie; He was predeceased by a brother, Frank Gangemi in 2024, (sister-in-law Barbara Gangemi) ; two sisters, Bernadette Green and husband, Bernie, and Katherine Shasa and husband, Benny; brother, Joseph Gangemi along with many loving nieces and nephews; and his loyal pet dog, Toby.
Services: Please join the Gangemi family in celebrating Bill's life on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at The Village of Upstream Farms, 2650 Silo Drive, Easton (Forks Township) PA 18040. Cremation care and arrangements are under the direction of the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, INC., in the Village of Moorestown - Bath.
