Ellie,
Ellen and I are shocked this morning to hear about Bill. Our prayers are with you and the family. We remember fondly our BC years together.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Mr. William Gerson. I was a student of his last year at Framingham High School. I would like to say that he was one of the best teachers that I have ever had. His methods of teaching were brilliant, as he linked the current events with the events in history that he taught.

I am shocked to hear that we won't be seeing Bill at the first basketball game to share his excitement about the season. There was no one who loved this university, its people, its courses, its students more than Bill. His enthusiasm, work and involvement brought many new students here to make it a far stronger, richer community. We can all take some comfort in the thought that his spirit will always be alive on the BC campus.

during this difficult time.

Dear Madame Gerson,
I was so sad to hear about the loss of your husband. He was such a nice man and I always enjoyed our "coffee talks" at Coffee Haven. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

To the Gerson family,
The Longfellow Sports Club would like to extend our thoughts and prayers with you. Bill was an exceptional member, always with a political joke or warm story of his family as he walked into our club. He will be greatly missed by staff and other members.

Dear Ellie,
My deepest sympathy to you and your children on the death of Billy. I so enjoyed chatting with him at the few Mary/Rita events where we would meet. I remember him as a lovely man.
Sincerely,

Dear Ellie and "family"
Sending our love and understanding to you during this difficult time. Heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Please know that all of you are in our prayers and thoughts.
