GLASCOCK, William Addison, age 92, a native of Burkeville, Va., passed away on June 13, 2011. He was the son of the late William Claiborne and Virginia Crenshaw Glascock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine, of 65 years. He is survived by his son, William Carey Glascock of Burkeville, Va.; his daughter, June G. Ramsey and husband, Thomas Ramsey, of Halifax, Va.; two grandchildren, Sarah R. Wilbanks and husband, Wesley, of Commerce, Georgia, and Jessie R. Ramsey of Wilmington, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Hudson Wilbanks and Avery Wilbanks of Commerce, Georgia; and a sister, Frances G. Rickman of Richmond. He was a longtime member of the Burkeville Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, a choir member, and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Burkeville Baptist Church, with funeral services at 11 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow in the Crewe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nottoway County Emergency Squad or the Burkeville Baptist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home, Crewe.
