Prayers for a very special person and family

I am saddened about the loss of Dean Golod, a man that I looked up to since 1st meeting him in 1976 at MUSC; I was a 1st yr pharmacy student and he was "The Dean". Later in 1984 he hired me as the 1st AfAm faculty member at MUSC's College of Pharmacy. He was always sincere and I knew he always had my back. My condolences go out to his immediate family and to all who loved him. He was a mountain of a man, a gentleman whom I & others deeply respected, and he will be truly missed. ...

In the late 1950s and early 60s I came to know Dr. William Golod as a surgical resident at the them medical college of South Carolina. I found him to be extremely helpful to me is I would stop by the hospital pharmacy to ask his advice in reference to new medication`s available. He always made time to talk with me and I always found him to be a generous, friendly and a person of great sincerity. I have it I have often thought about him over the years. He will be greatly missed. My condolences...

I was forever changed after interviewing Dr. Golod for a College of Pharmacy project Always such a kind and sincere man. He lived life with a wonderful purpose. He was an inspiration and blessing to everyone. Keeping the family lifted in prayer during such a difficult time. MUSC 2018

Dr. Golod was an amazing faculty member and Dean at MUSC. He has left a legacy that will never be forgotten. My prayers go to his entire family during this difficult time.

We Loved seeing Bill ( especially our grandchildren on their way home from school). Bobby loved calls to help with electrical problems when he could. We are here right behind you for any and everything . Bless you and your family. Bobby and Louise Anderson

What a lovely, sweet man Dr. Golod was. I so enjoyed working with him and seeing him at the college of pharmacy over the years. Our many conversations about the profession and about life in general meant a great deal to me. I will treasure those memories. My thoughts are with his family, as they celebrate a wonderful life lived.

Dr. Golod came to Wofford College near the end of my Senior year to recruit for MUSC Pharmacy School. Had it not been for him, I would not have pursued Pharmacy. This definitely changed my life for the better. I will always treasure memories of this kind, generous, friendly man.
