William Howard Gould

My Uncle Bill Gould was a great man, teacher and mentor and had great influence on me while growing up in Deland in the 60-70s. I don't think I ever saw a task that he wouldn't try and do himself if he thought he could do it faster or cheaper than hiring somebody else to handle it. He taught me many skills over the years that have served me well, and I have tried to pass on that knowledge to my own sons. He was a self-made man that I will remember him fondly.

Bill was one of the most amazing men I have ever met. Him and Esther are pillars of the DeLand area, and truly cared about our small town and the people in it. My condolences to the entire Gould Family. The stories Bill has told me, about his life growing up here in DeLand, are something I will cherish. He always had a great outlook on life, and could always make me laugh...especially when there were new dents in his trucks from the BULLS. He will be greatly missed by EVERYONE that has...

I have fond memories of Billy from high school. He led a full life.
