Not sure what to say?

Diane,
I am sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Both you and Billy were such good friends to me in high school. Being with you both again at the reunion was a special night. I learned how much he cared for his students. He had a caring heart. I won't forget him

Dear Diane, We just heard the news and we are both deeply saddened by Billy's passing. We enjoyed so many wonderful times for many years with you both. Billy was an inspiration to Derek and he will always remember him for that. Dennis shared so many memories both playing and coaching football. Though life tends to bring us different directions we always remember you and Billy and the times shared together.
Deepest Sympathies,
