William D. Granstrom

When I first started working as a Letter Carrier I was assigned to Ballard. William (we all knew him as "Smiley") was one of the first carriers I met. I covered his route a few times when he took vacation. His customers, as well as all the Letter Carriers, loved him. Years later I met Chris and Patty and eventually we realized that I knew Chris' Dad. Small world, and what a great family!

I remember dropping by the Granstrom's for Thanksgiving some years back. The whole family was very welcoming, easy going and loved a good laugh. My heart goes out to the Granstrom family.
