Not sure what to say?

I just discovered that Bill had passed. Bill and his sister Carol and I sang together in a Philadelphia choral group Singing City. The choir was founded on the premise that 'people from all walks of life can come together in a common goal.'. Music was one form of accompanying that goal. We were a happy family and I remember Bill's smile and occasional naughty laugh. There we no color or socioeconomic barriers. We had the opportunity to travel abroad for peace as well as sharing our...

I had the pleasure of sharing classes with Dr. Grey at IMP in Manhattan. His quick wit and use of technique where things that stood out for me alongside his warm and kindhearted personality. His passing was a real loss to the profession and I'm sure his loved ones. Rest well Bill.

it is hard to believe bill is not here. he was so much younger than i when we were together.
that period was short of a year. bill i knew as a beautiful young man who could be filled with the brightest spirits. when we parted i grieved still do. let us all cling to his best moments.

I met Bill at PSP and for a time he was my supervisor as I began a career as a therapist. One time Bill left a note in my mailbox and his comment was so kind and encouraging I taped it to a file folder that I still have in my filing cabinet. I run across it regularly and my heart is both glad (that I knew him) and sad (that he's no longer with us). Rod--I met you one night in the "therapists' lounge" at PCC, and Carol-- God bless you both in your loss of this exceptional man.

I just received my Cornell Alumni News and read the incredibly sad news about Bill. Bill was a wonderful friend - and fellow band member - during the late 70's in Ithaca. He was always brilliant, warm, humorous and compassionate - and a great listener. People gravitated to Bill for all of these qualities, and more. I am so sorry for your loss.

Bill and I became friends when he first moved to Philadelphia around 1980. I admired his hard work through the years, his tenacity, and follow through on his goals. We both experienced career identity struggles in the 80's and both ended up pursuing the same career path. In the 90's we worked for the same agencies, and were in the same supervision group at Psych Resources where I learned a lot from his expertise as an analyst. He had a great sense of humor, and I remember fondly the early days...

Dear Rod,
So sorry to hear the sad news. I did not know Bill but I am sure the grief you are experiencing is awful. Hope it softens enough soon to allow for peaceful memories of your life with Bill and, eventually, to enjoy those warm memories without overwhelming sorrow. Take care, anna forbes

Rest in peace Bill. God bless you! So sorry for your loss Rod! PJ Grier a friend of mine and my deceased partner Frank from 1979 were great next door neighbors and friends. He and his first partner Bob Ladika were our neighbors on S. 86th near the airport until my partner Frank of 12 years died from AIDS on July 2nd 1986.
