It is with great sympathy that I write to you. I just learned that one of my high school buddies has passed away. Willie and I were drafted together in the Army. Judy, Mark, Kim and Amy my thoughts are with you at this time. "Mr. Griffen" as I called him as a child and later Bill as an adult, was always kind to me. He seemed to have a smile and hug everytime I would see him. As I was reading the paper (Cortland Standard) Saturday I began to grieve.
