I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Symmetry for many years. His office was near where I sat, and I can still picture him now, on the phone or standing at my desk to chat. Renee described him perfectly. He was always very kind, up-beat and optimistic. I remember his smile and distinctive voice very well. My heart is saddened for Kelly, Stacy and all of his beautiful grandchildren and family members who are dealing with this huge loss. His love for you all was always apparent. He talked about you with such pride and joy. He was a wonderful man, who will never be forgotten.

My heart is heavy after just hearing of Bill's passing. My thoughts are with Kelly, Stacy, Sande and family as well as all of our colleagues who shared many years working with one of the most genuine, caring, honest men I've ever had the honor of knowing. I will always, always remember Bill's ability to turn any situation into something positive -- and how he embraced family first, above all. Heaven truly has gained an angel. This was a man with a huge, golden heart.

Wow, what a shock to hear on 2-14-2013 that we lost a great friend. I was in Baldwin High School one year ahead of Bill. I talked to him 2 weeks prior to the Super Bowl. We talked about his nephew, Cory Bierman, playing for the Atlanta Falcons as he was quite proud of him. Needless to say, I was in shock to hear of his death. I plan to attend the service in Los Gatos on Feb. 23.

Bill always showed me so much kindness and I'll always remember him. I'm sad that we hadn't had the opportunity to visit more recently. My thoughts are with his family. Rest in Peace.

I was sorry to learn of Bill's passing. Fondly recount the quality time we spent together in the early 70s. Kathy and I named our two oldest daughters, Kristin and Kelly after Bill and Sande's. God be with and comfort all who mourn this loss.

Bill was one of my closest friends. I will miss sitting on the tail gate of his or my pickup and watching the sun set and talking about racing or politics or just the weather. Sande, Kelly and Stacy - am so sorry for your loss. Bill will always be in my memory.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of William during this time of sorrow. God's word speaks of a time when all sorrow, suffering and death will be no more - Isaiah 65:17, 21-24.

Shirley I am sorry to read of Billy's passing, little brothers always seen to remain little brothers no matter how big they grow. May God bring you comfort at this time. To Billy's family, I am very sorry.

All those decades ago I grew up on the same block as Bill and his younger sister Kathy. As a young kid, I idolized Bill. I thought he was super cool and a great guy. As the decades went on and I saw Bill only on occasion, I realized that the kid in me wasn't wrong. Bill was all of that and more. I am deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. Condolences to all.

I will never forget the ride in your Pantera, on Coleman. Zero to 100, in a very short distance! Ride on, Bill, on your heavenly journey!

I will always remember Bill for his smile and his big but gentle hugs. However, I will remember him most of all for his love of his family. I will miss you.

Dad and cars, aside from his family, one of his greatest passions.
