Not sure what to say?

Bill always struck me as a kind and gentle soul. I enjoyed numerous conversations with him. When the Vietnam War draft was rearing its ugly head Bill joined the Navy to avoid being drafted into combat. Since the Marines are part of the Navy, he ended up a corpsman. He told me that on two occasions, that 90% of his forty-man unit was killed in action. Can you imagine what it would be like to find your buddies dead and dying? Rest in peace, my friend, your spirit is still alive in me.

To Bill's family. So sorry for your loss. Bill coached me in little league in 71 -72. Also my brother Dan in cub football. He left a lasting great impression on all of us. He taught us the game but also made it fun. Great guy. Prayers for Bill and his whole family.

Great asset to the program, I have known bill for 30 years. he will be greatly missed my us and all that knew him. good job bill. terry and Barb Girard. port charlotte fl.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Coach Hippi coached me as 3rd grader Go Hornets!. The fact that I remember that specifically out of all the years and all different teams speaks volume about Coach.!!

I spent more time with Bill in the last few weeks than I have in years. We held eyes often as we reflected on words we shared. He was insightful and precise with his words leaving no doubt of his intent. He was a man who knew himself well. I admired and appreciated it more than words can describe. I loved it when smiled!

I got to know Bill since 2004 at the Ruby Creek Conservation Club. We spent a fair amount of time together. I found him to be a kind and gentle spirit. He surely will be remembered and missed.
